Vocal Supervisor - Julia Mendelsohn is a vocal instructor, coach, pianist, musical director and arranger who lives and works in N.Y.C. Her students have starred  in and created roles for numerous Broadway shows; among them:  BILLY ELLIOT, MARY POPPINS, PIPPIN, HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS, MATILDA, SCHOOL OF ROCK, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, A CHRISTMAS STORY, WHITE CHRISTMAS, RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR, BONNIE AND CLYDE, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, THE FULL MONTY, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND,THE KING AND I, KINKY BOOTS, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, THE LION KING, FINDING NEVERLAND, LES MISERABLES, Hairspray Live!, Grease Live! and more.

She has also helped steer her students to booking gigs on National Tours, on television (The Glee Project, American Idol, America's Got Talent), and in arenas and stadiums throughout the U.S.  As a performer, she was the house pianist at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for over twenty years and has also performed at the NYC 5th Avenue Public Library, The Guggenheim Museum, The Museum of Natural History, and Radio City Music Hall.  She has entertained such luminaries as Bill and Hillary Clinton, performed at  the U.N. for Kofi Annan, for Glenn Close, Vera Wang, Estee Lauder, and the King of Norway, among others. She was the Musical Director for the cabaret at North Shore Music Theatre and was assistant conductor/keyboardist  for Shenandoah (with John Raitt). She was the MD for Surflight Summer Theatre for two seasons.   She worked on and conducted a rock opera of Carmen in Taiwan with A-Mei, one of Asia's biggest stars. She has served as Musical Director and vocal coach for Biz Kidz and for the Catskill Mountain Foundation.  Ms. Mendelsohn currently runs the Musical Theatre Program for Berkshire Summer Music; this is her fifth year.  She also works with Broadway Star Project here in NYC and performs cabaret acts with The Funny Valentines.  She is thrilled to be part of The Perfect Fit.
